How to uninstall apps and browser extensions

Uninstaller helps you review and remove desktop software, UWP apps, browser extensions, and supported leftover files.

Before removing anything, make sure you recognize the item and no longer need it.

What you can remove

  • Software: Traditional desktop applications installed on Windows.
  • UWP Apps: Microsoft Store or Windows app packages.
  • Browser Extensions: Extensions installed in supported browsers.
  • Leftovers: Supported files or entries left behind after uninstalling.

How to uninstall an item

  1. Open the eclean desktop app.
  2. Go to Uninstaller.
  3. Choose Software, UWP Apps, or Browser Extensions.
  4. Select the item you want to remove.
  5. Confirm that you recognize it and no longer need it.
  6. Start the uninstall action.
  7. If eclean finds leftovers, review them separately before deleting them.
  8. Check Uninstaller History if you need to confirm what was removed.

Some apps and extensions are controlled by work/school policy, browser sync, hardware software, or security tools. Those items may not stay removed.
