How to manage DNS settings in eclean

DNS settings help your computer find websites and online services. eclean's DNS Optimizer helps you review and apply supported DNS settings from the desktop app.


Changing DNS can affect internet connectivity, so you should only change it when you understand what you are testing.


How to change DNS in eclean


  1. Open the eclean desktop app.
  2. Go to Booster.
  3. Open DNS Optimizer.
  4. Review your current DNS provider and mode.
  5. Choose the provider and DNS mode you want to try.
  6. Apply the change.
  7. Test a few websites and apps.


If the internet stops working


Return to DNS Optimizer and click Reset DNS. If eclean will not open, use Windows network troubleshooting or reset DNS from Windows settings.


VPNs, proxies, firewalls, and work/school networks can block or override DNS changes.
