How Junk Cleaner categories work in eclean
Junk Cleaner categories help you decide what kind of clutter eclean should scan for and remove. They group cleanup targets by purpose so you can clean routine junk without treating every file on your PC the same way.
How to choose Junk Cleaner categories
- Open Junk Cleaner: Go to Cleaner > Junk Cleanup.
- Review the category grid: Read the category names and select only the areas you want eclean to scan.
- Start with safer categories: Temporary files and cache are usually better first choices than personal folders.
- Run the scan: Click Search for junk after selecting your categories.
- Review the results: Use Simple or Detailed to inspect what eclean found.
- Deselect anything you want to keep: Do this before clicking Clean now.
- Check the summary: After cleanup, review the space freed and categories processed.
Category guidance
- Cache and temporary files are usually safe to remove, but apps may rebuild them later.
- Recycle Bin cleanup removes items you may still be able to restore manually before cleanup.
- Downloads should be treated carefully because it may contain installers, documents, or files you still need.
