Can I use eclean with custom Windows builds?

You may be able to run eclean on a custom Windows build, but we do not officially support custom Windows builds or custom OSs other than our better-integrated AtlasOS experience.

eclean is built for supported 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11 installations. Custom Windows builds can remove, replace, disable, or lock Windows components that eclean expects to exist.

Examples of custom Windows builds and custom OSs

Custom Windows builds, Windows modification projects, and custom OSs include names such as:

ReviOS
tiny11
tiny10
Ghost Spectre
Nano11
Other debloated, stripped-down, or performance-focused Windows images

What we do not support

Yes. You can use eclean with AtlasOS.

eclean and AtlasOS are made by the same team, so eclean is designed to work more comfortably alongside AtlasOS than it does with other custom Windows builds. eclean can recognize AtlasOS-specific conditions more reliably and avoid treating every AtlasOS change like an unknown Windows modification.

What AtlasOS is

AtlasOS is a customized Windows experience focused on performance, latency, privacy, and reducing unnecessary Windows overhead.

Because AtlasOS changes parts of Windows that eclean may also inspect or optimize, the safest approach is to let each product do what it is designed to do instead of repeatedly applying the same type of change from multiple tools.

What works with eclean on AtlasOS

Most eclean features should work normally on AtlasOS when your installation is healthy and based on a supported Windows version.

This includes:

Cleaner scans and supported junk cleanup.
Startup app review.
Installed app and browser extension review.
System information and PC health views.
Supported eclean optimizations that still apply to your AtlasOS setup.

Use app reviews when you want to add your experience to a shared signal around an item. For example, a startup app may be rated as essential by some users and unnecessary by others. Where app reviews appear

App reviews use the same review modal across several parts of eclean:

Startup Apps in Booster.
Software Uninstaller in Uninstaller.
