Thanks so much for your excitement about joining the eclean Public Beta! Because we want to ensure a stable and smooth experience for everyone, our initial beta rollout was strictly limited to the first users who signed up.

We know it can be disappointing to miss out on the first wave, but don't worry - the doors aren't completely closed. If you didn't make the initial cutoff, here are the three ways you can still get access to the beta right now.

1. Pre-order for Instant Access

If you want guaranteed, immediate access to the platform today, your best option is to pre-order.

By pre-ordering, you secure an early bird discount on the final release, and we will grant your account instant access to the public beta as a special thank-you benefit.

If you're seeing an error stating that "Microsoft Edge can't read and write to its data directory" or eclean fails to load content correctly, the WebView2 Runtime may be corrupted.

Windows sometimes prevents a standard reinstall if it believes the software is already present. Following these steps will clear the old registration data, allowing you to perform a clean installation.

Step 1: Open the Registry Editor

Press the Windows Key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog.
Type regedit and press Enter.
If a User Account Control (UAC) prompt appears asking for permission, click Yes.

Step 2: Locate and back up the WebView2 Key

Before making changes, it is important to back up the specific registry key you are about to modify.

Paste this into the address bar at the top of the Registry Editor and press Enter.

Unlinking Discord or Google from your eclean account

Connecting a third-party account like Discord or Google is a great way to log in to eclean quickly. However, if you are looking to unlink these services, the steps you need to take depend entirely on how your eclean account was originally created.

How to unlink a secondary Discord or Google account

If you originally registered for eclean using a standard email and password, and simply linked Discord or Google later for convenience, you can easily disconnect them at any time without affecting your account access.

Log in to your eclean account dashboard.
Navigate to the Overview tab on the main menu.
Scroll down to the Connected Accounts section.
Locate the Discord or Google integration you want to remove.
Click the Unlink button next to the platform. You can continue logging in using your standard email and password

If you created your account using Discord or Google

If you used the "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Discord" button to register for eclean in the first place, you cannot unlink that platform from your profile.

Because your account was generated using that platform's secure login system (OAuth), it's hardcoded into our database as your foundational identity. There's no traditional password behind it for the system to fall back on.

Step-by-step Installation Guide

Download the installer: Download eclean from our website and save the setup file (eclean-latest_x64-setup.nsis.exe) to your computer.
Run the installer: Locate the downloaded file (usually in your Downloads folder) and double-click it to begin.
Grant Administrator Permissions: Windows will likely prompt you with a User Account Control (UAC) pop-up asking if you want to allow this app to make changes to your device. Click Yes.
Follow the wizard: Follow the on-screen instructions to choose your installation folder and complete the setup.
Launch and log in: Once the installation is finished, open eclean from your desktop shortcut or Start menu. You'll be prompted to log in using your eclean account.

Once logged in, your license will automatically validate, and eclean will fetch the latest updates from our servers. You're now ready to run your first scan!

Adding a tax ID to your billing information

If you're purchasing eclean on behalf of a business, you may be eligible for sales tax exemptions or VAT reverse charges.

Because our entire billing is securely managed by Stripe, adding your company's Tax ID (such as a VAT number, EIN, or GSTIN) is a quick process that ensures your invoices are fully compliant for your accounting team.

Adding a Tax ID during a new purchase

If you are buying eclean paid access for the first time, you can apply your tax details right at checkout:

Select your preferred eclean plan and proceed to the checkout page.
On the secure Stripe payment screen, look for the option to add a VAT number, tax ID, or business tax details.
Select your country's specific Tax ID type from the dropdown menu and enter your official number.
Complete your checkout.

| Stripe instantly verifies your Tax ID against official databases (like the EU's VIES system). If your ID is valid and eligible for a tax exemption or reverse charge in your jurisdiction, the tax amount will be automatically deducted from your total before you are charged.
