How to use Settings in eclean

Settings is where you adjust eclean's app behavior, privacy preferences, monitoring options, account context, and About eclean information. Use it when the question is about how eclean behaves rather than which files or Windows tweaks to change.

Settings changes how eclean behaves. It is not a replacement for Windows Settings, Device Manager, or Group Policy.

How to use Settings

  1. Open Settings: Click Settings in the eclean sidebar.
  2. Use App Settings: Change general app behavior, monitoring options, and optional feature settings when available.
  3. Use Privacy Settings: Control eclean analytics and error tracking preferences.
  4. Use About eclean: Check account details, badges, app version, updates, logs, credits, and feedback links.
  5. Search when needed: Use search on settings pages to find a specific option faster.
  6. Return to the feature page: After changing a setting, go back to the original page and check whether the behavior changed.

When to start in Settings

  • Start in Settings when sensor data is missing, analytics preferences need changing, app version details are needed, or an optional integration is not visible.
  • Do not use Settings to delete files, change DNS, uninstall apps, or apply Optimizer tweaks. Those actions live in their dedicated feature areas.
  • If a PC is managed by work or school, Windows policy may still override settings outside eclean.
