How app reviews work in eclean

App reviews are not the same as feedback in Settings. Feedback is a message to the eclean team. App reviews are target-specific ratings that help users understand how other eclean users feel about a specific startup app, desktop program, Microsoft Store app, or browser extension.

Use app reviews when you want to add your experience to a shared signal around an item. For example, a startup app may be rated as essential by some users and unnecessary by others. That kind of signal can help future users make a more informed decision before disabling, keeping, or removing an item.

App reviews should describe your experience with the item being rated. Do not use them for billing, login, bug reports, or urgent support issues.

Where app reviews appear

App reviews use the same review modal across several parts of eclean:

  • Startup Apps in Booster.
  • Software Uninstaller in Uninstaller.
  • UWP Apps in Uninstaller.
  • Browser Extensions in Uninstaller.

The label changes slightly depending on the item. Startup apps use startup-focused rating language, while extensions can show extension-specific opinion choices. The purpose is the same: tie the review to the selected item, not to the eclean app as a whole.

How to leave an app review

  1. Open the relevant list: Go to Startup Apps, Software Uninstaller, UWP Apps, or Browser Extensions.
  2. Find the item: Choose the startup app, program, Store app, or browser extension you want to rate.
  3. Click a star rating: Select a 1-to-5 rating from the rating control.
  4. Share an opinion if it fits: Choose the option that best explains your rating, such as useful, unnecessary, slow, buggy, intrusive, or another listed reason.
  5. Review the sharing checkbox: Decide whether eclean can share the review anonymously with developers if they request general feedback.
  6. Submit the review: Click Submit review to save it.

After submission, eclean stores a local submitted state so the same item shows as already rated in your app.

What app reviews are for

App reviews are meant to educate users through shared experience. They can help answer questions like:

  • Do other users consider this startup item essential or unnecessary?
  • Does this extension feel useful, intrusive, buggy, or full of bloat?
  • Does this Store app or desktop program seem helpful to other users?
  • Is this item worth checking more carefully before disabling or uninstalling it?

How app reviews differ from Settings feedback

Settings feedback sends a product message to eclean. It is for bug reports, feature ideas, improvement requests, or general product feedback.

App reviews are tied to an entity. The review is saved against a specific target type and target ID, such as a startup entry, installed software item, browser extension, or UWP package. That makes the review useful as aggregate product intelligence for other users, not just as a private note to the eclean team.
